Our mission
Strengthen women to protect life.
Inform, train, mobilise and support women so they can fully participate in decisions and develop sustainable ecological and economic solutions.
Our story
Since 2010, SOFFLECO has brought together women who refuse to choose between environmental protection, dignity and local development.
Who are we?
SOFFLECO stands for Women’s Solidarity on the Congo River. Our name carries our method: connecting women, territories and knowledge to grow lasting solutions.
We work at the intersection of climate justice, women’s rights, biodiversity and local livelihoods. We begin with lived realities and build with communities.

Since 2010
SOFFLECO was born from the conviction that women must be recognised as decision-makers and solution builders in the face of environmental crises. Our role is to create spaces for listening, learning and collective action.
Our mission
Inform, train, mobilise and support women so they can fully participate in decisions and develop sustainable ecological and economic solutions.
Our vision
A region where the environment is protected, women’s rights are respected and communities can shape their own future.
What guides us
Our credibility is built through how we work, not only what we say.
Moving forward together and sharing agency.
Creating real space for voices too often unheard.
Beginning with community knowledge, priorities and realities.
Learning, documenting and reporting with clarity.
